Chris Roberts, Founder and CEO of Covenant Architectural

Founder & CEO

Chris Roberts

Chris’s career has been built at every level of the construction business—from superintendent and project manager to estimator, purchaser, sales specialist, division builder, and executive leader in commercial doors, frames, and hardware. He founded Covenant Architectural to bring that practical experience into a company grounded in faith, servant leadership, personal accountability, and a commitment to developing people while serving customers and partners with integrity.

The path to Covenant

Prepared through every side of the business.

Chris Roberts did not arrive at business ownership through one role or one opportunity. His experience was built progressively—in the field, in project management, in estimating and purchasing, in sales, and ultimately in executive leadership.

That progression gave him a practical understanding of what general contractors need from a commercial openings partner and what it takes to build teams capable of delivering at scale.

Career progression

01
Early career

Learning construction from the field

Chris began his career in his early twenties as a project superintendent for large national homebuilders. He soon moved into commercial multifamily construction, managing commercial door, frame, hardware, pre-hung door, and trim scopes in the field.

02
Operations

From superintendent to project manager

That field experience led to project management, where he learned to estimate, purchase, coordinate, and manage large construction projects from preconstruction through completion.

03
Division building

Creating a commercial operation from the ground up

At 26, Chris moved into a sales specialist role and built a commercial door division inside a pre-hung door operation whose rapidly changing projects required hollow metal frames and commercial hardware expertise. Over the next four years, the new division became a thriving part of the company.

04
Executive leadership

Building another successful commercial division

Chris later joined H2H Commercial in an ownership and leadership role. As Vice President of Commercial Doors, he developed another successful doors, frames, and hardware division and gained valuable experience in executive leadership and business growth.

05
2021–2026

Launching Cook & Boardman’s Atlanta presence

In June 2021, Chris accepted an entrepreneurial role with Cook & Boardman to establish its Atlanta operation. Starting as employee number one, he grew the division to 22 employees and approximately $22 million in average annual revenue over the following five years.

June 2026

Founding Covenant Architectural

After years of preparation, prayer, and experience across nearly every side of the business, Chris founded Covenant Architectural to build a company centered on expertise, integrity, accountability, and long-term relationships.

Why “Covenant”

A company founded in faith and patience.

For years, Chris wanted to start his own company—but he did not believe the timing was right.

He continued to pray for direction and chose to wait, believing that each opportunity along the way was preparing him to understand another side of the business. In June 2026, after years of preparation, he believed he finally had God’s peace to begin Covenant Architectural.

The name reflects a personal commitment: to honor God, treat customers and partners with integrity, keep commitments, and build a company that creates opportunity and blessing for employees, families, customers, and the communities it serves.

Beyond the business

Building something meaningful for the next generation.

Chris is a husband and father of five. His family is central to both his faith and the purpose behind Covenant Architectural.

He views the company as more than a business opportunity. It is a responsibility to model integrity, create opportunities for others, honor commitments, and build something his family can be proud of for generations to come.

Leadership philosophy

“Experience prepared the company. Faith determined the timing.”
